In all of the years that I have fished Lake Ontario, the introduction of trout and salmon has had the largest impact on the fishery. These fish provide you with a bone jarring, rod breaking, reel screaming and acrobatic fishery like none other in the world. “World Class” is a phrase that is often over-used but, in the case of the fishery in Lake Ontario, it is the only description that does it justice.

For all 25 years of Lure-Um Charters existence I have only fished out of one port and that is located at Point Breeze, New York. The reason for this is that this area provides the most consistent fishery on the entire lake. Always fishing out of one area has allowed me to know and understand its fishery, leaving me more time to concentrate on new techniques as they develop. Serving on the Pro Staff for several lure manufacturers gives me the edge on new product and allows me to suggest changes to make those products even better.

Some of the organizations that I belong to are: Lake Ontario Charter Boat Association, Genesee Charter Boat Association, Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association, National Alliance of Charter Boat Operators and the Maritime Consortium.
